When did you start Longview Land Clearing?
October of 2015. At the time it was something I thought was cool. I had a background thanks to helping with my parents’ farm, and I had talked to a lot of different people about it. It seemed like something people were doing before the crash in 2008, but after that not as many people had picked it up. I saw a market for it and it’s been great ever since.
What services do you provide?
Pretty much any type of land clearing or land management stuff. Things like tree debris cleanup, reclaiming overgrown areas. Whether that’s bush-hogging it or grinding and mulching. We primarily focus on just forestry mulching, though occasionally, we still do lot clearing.
What makes you stand out from the competition?
I think currently we’ve been doing it a lot longer than any other competitors in the area. And with that comes experience and knowledge of what we’re doing and how you run the equipment safely and efficiently. And at the end of the day it’s not just about making money for us. Every job, I look at it as more of an opportunity for a long-term relationship with the client rather than just a quick payday.

We have Instagram and Facebook accounts, along with a great website that shows off some of our videos. I post videos of our work weekly, and really use that as a main tool to interact with customers.
